“Do Tell” it’s Ok... for the first time, members the Canadian Armed Forces joined the Gay Pride Week Parade this Year.




Crowds flock to watch the Pride Parade...

"It's a huge thing for me personally," said Warrant Officer John McDougall, a parade participant who has been an openly gay member of the military for 13 years. "To be able to be in public and be recognized not just for being a soldier, but for being a soldier who happens to be gay is amazing”.

McDougall and his colleagues joined 5,000 drag queens, bikers, and scantily-clad men who marched in the parade in front of scores of spectators. Other participants in the flashy celebration included Liberal MPs Bob Rae and Belinda Stronach, Toronto Mayor David Miller, and Federal NDP leader Jack Layton

With tens of thousands of revellers flocking to town from the U.S. and beyond, the mood was electric at the annual Caribana parade Saturday as an estimated 25,000 dancers made their way along a sunny stretch of the city's waterfront.

This weekend this city is the Carribean of North America, sans the Pirates. It will be Music, Dances, Foods and Parties and thousands of tourists mingling with the locals. Welcome all to the Caribana 2007...

The grandchildren... the birthday girl, her 4rth, the same date as auntie bibs. with cousin josh, and second cousin chico. we call her chin chin , long for francine (from dad's francis, my nephew, my brother's) born in Pinas and now residing in the city of Liberty Bell, Philadelphia.

Francine, as she just arrived from the Philippines and a quick visit from another "lolo" from Toronto, who drove 10 hours to see the first of the next generation of the "cutests".

With Mom and Dad and cousin Josh during their visit to Uncle's graveyard early this year.

The Boy who loves to Eat and he is big and fatso. Well, living with grandparents will spoil the brat.

Happy Mother's Day!!!

Happy Mother's Day to all moms and to all mothers dearest to me. Firstly, my very own late mother, who dearly raised the eight of us. Picture above was taken in Cainta during her 76th Birthday. Middle was with youngest and elder sisters at the Niagara Falls during her Second Visit in the early 90s. The bottom one was taken somewhere in Ontario where a town is a replica of centuries old traditions and cultures (just for tourists and cultural history).

To my dearest baby sister (the other half of the twins) who brought us the Bibs and two wonderful boys, now all grown ups and about ready for college and university.

Above was during middle child graduation from Elementary. Middle with cousin, who now is also a mother just fooling around. At the bottom was the bibs at 6 months and chubby with kuyas and mom...

And to my two nieces, my brother's daughter with her son and daughter in-law with her daughter . Mother and daughter were vacationing from Philadelphia and were visiting uncle (my nephew who passed away suddenly at very young age) at Sta. Rosa Memorial Park.

And to my niece from Toril, my late Bro's daughter and grandson Chico showing his "treasure" to grandpa he had not seen.
